Este mês de Janeiro já nos trouxe os prémios da crítica, os Globos e os nomeados para os Oscares serão anunciados hoje ao início da tarde, mas algumas situações menos conhecidas e bastante caricatas devem ser referidas.

USC declara empate

A University of Southern California desde 1988 que atribui anualmente um prémio aquele que considera ser o melhor argumento adaptado e já distinguiu filmes como “L.A Confidential“, “Schindler’s list“, “A Beautiful Mind” e “The Hours“. Este ano os nomeados eram de peso: “Cold Mountain”, “The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King”, “Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World”, “Mystic River” e “Seabiscuit“, o problema é que na votação realizada no início do mês estes dois últimos ficaram empatados. Como esta situação sem precedentes tinha de ser resolvida procedeu-se a uma nova escolha mas o empate manteve-se. No dia 15 será feito um jantar em que ambos os autores e ambos os argumentistas serão galardoados. Como foi dito por Robert Towne que presidia ao comité “This unprecedented finish is a fitting end to a year with so many outstanding film adaptations”. Razzie Awards

Foram anunciadas as nomeações para o prémio que ninguém quer! “Gigli” volta a mostrar ser o filme (des)preferido do ano e fica com 9 nomeações. Os principais nomeados são “Gigli“(9) “Cat in the Hat” (8) “From Justin to Kelly” (8) e “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle” (7). De destacar que Stallone conseguiu em 24 anos da cerimónia atingir as 30 nomeações incluíndo “pior actor da década” e “pior actor do século”, que venceu.
